This is just the most comforting movie in the world. My life could be falling apart but as long as I can watch Ponyo I'll be okay.

Luca Guadagnino made this movie for me specifically. He said 'Willow, you want a problematic bisexual throuple? coming right up Queen" and he delivered. And then Trent Reznor went crazy on the score and that's how the best movie in the world was made.

This movie means so much to be actually. The physicality of this film making!!!

I owe this film a lot. It opened my eyes to how incredible cinema can be, as an art form. Watching it got me thinking about film as something more than just something to be entertained by. Genuinely inspired me so much, I do think it changed my life a little bit. This film inspired me to ask the question of what kind of movie I would make, if I could.

Also began my enduring obsession with Luca Guadagnino. Like this is the movie that made me have a favourite director, so obviously it's a big one for me.

Just the BEST action movie ever made. Drift compatibility continues to be the single most tender, romantic notion anyone has ever dreamed up.

Also, fucking love big robot.

More coming of age movies for the 20-somethings!

This is a really beautiful film. People are so flawed, and we make mistakes, and we are all so lost, and we love each other anyway.

I just love a sci-fi where the point isn't trying to kill the aliens. I love the characters, I love the puzzle, I love the focus on linguistics (something I studied in another life)

The emotional beats seemed to come together just a tad too neatly and quickly for me to totally buy it - but they still landed. Beautifully shot and realised!!

Unfortunately also doesn't seem to trust it's audience with it's themes - ended up being distracting, because I started to play I Spy with thematic symbolism. Thankfully I was swept along in the second half!

Anyway, I'm happy. We have been fed well with the dark gothic films recently, and I'm absolutely here for more film makers to keep the adaptations coming.

Another movie I so badly wanted to watch on release and then never got around to for almost a decade. A masterpiece, but that's well established.

God I love weird animation so much. This character design is incredible and I need more of it!!

I never realised how convoluted this plot is until I watched it with my mam. She kept asking questions about what was going on, which is a pretty average movie-watching experience with her, but notable this time because I actually mostly didn't have answers beyond "it's just cool thief stuff don't worry about it"

Anyway its a great movie obviously, it's a bunch of cool thief stuff, whats not to like??

Truly a pretty bad movie. Decided to watch it when it came up in the "reccomended" sidebar of a totally legal streaming site. Was so enthralled by the idea of Meryl Streep playing a kind of loser washed up rockstar, and intruiged by the fact I'd never ever heard anyone talk about this movie before. Honestly, not very good! But not awful, worth watching if only to satisfy my curiosity.

LOVED THIS. My first time ever watching it and it was fabulous. Absolutely incredible antics and also, fantastic break up movie. Chaotic messy warm hug of a movie to me.

Knew I would enjoy this movie and I absolutely did. God I miss movie musicals!! I do have to admit though, was distracted the entire time by Ewan McGregor's huge mouth. Never noticed it before, but then I did and every time he sang it was all I could see. Anyway, still a great movie!

You can tell I was going through something by the amount of superhero movies I watched in literally the space of a week.

Anyway, kind of just a fine movie, but I somehow managed to miss all the marketing that this was so stylish?? No idea it had the whole kitchy retro futurism thing going on, so that was a delightful surprise!

I had less than no interest in watching this for the longest time but decided to try it out - I'm now part of the crowd going "y'know for a marvel movie it was pretty good!"

Anyway, I cannot believe that marvel made their first villain that actually scared me, and it's just the embodiment of depression.

OHHHH contender for a new fave!!!! Oh my god. Next person I date I'm gonna screen them by whether they think this is the ideal couple dynamic and I WILL drop them if they say no. THIS is the level of freak devotion I need. /br Understands the best thing about spies is the people, and the geopolitical machinations are just set dressing. Or at least that's where my priorities lay watching this. Not to say the unfurling of the plot wasnt pleasurable - the end scene wrapped the entire thing up so deliciously that I was left with this slow satisfied smile.

Took me a minute to adjust to the... Vibe?? Of this film. But it's so charming. Loved it so much actually. Maybe superhero movies can be good sometimes???

I need to go live on a tiny wind battered island for a few months so so badly. As a fellow girl who dragged herself from rock bottom by throwing herself into an obsession with nature, this movie was holding my hand the entire time.

Genuinely painful and wanted to turn it off by 30 minutes in but I was on a plane so stuck with it and by the end I had mostly adjusted to the awful clunky dialogue that no human person would ever say, the deeply contrived plot, and utter lack of chemistry between the two leads - and actually enjoyed the ending

I mean it's fine I guess. I guess I don't get it.

Patrick Bateman is one of the best characters ever to me.

He is the MOST suspicious shifty guy and yet gets away clean despite being obviously freaked out every time he meets the detective. Most guy ever.

I loooove freaks in love. I love dubiously ethical relationships.

It's got DRAMA it's got ACTION it's got ROMANCE, it's got a FUCK ASS western cowboy accent and a dumb as rocks bad guy.

Honestly, this was just fine. Solid 3 star movie.

Nothing I adore more than relationships that are absolutely unhealthy but somehow also perfect. I love when characters invent unethical BDSM through sheer force of will.

This is as fun as it is brilliant and smart and it manages to be both irreverent and insightful with every second breath. It's just class!!!

I wasn't sure how you can translate the absurdity and body horror and fun and anger and fear and sheer exhaustion in the book. And unfortunately, this movie kind of cannot forget that it used to be a book. It's good, but just read the book

These are my favourite trash movies, I love goo boyfriends. The start of this movie was incredibly really bad but then venom came out and I'm like "there's my man 😍😍" and I can largely ignore the fact this movie kinda sucks.

I did not expect to laugh so much through this, and I did not expect to get gut punched in the ending

Wicked was my first solo part (one verse of defying gravity) in my tween stage school so obviously this made me so kind of insane watching it. And I didnt expect it, somehow!! I was like, very mellow about this movie, I really wasn't super excited about this?? And then I spent the entire runtime overcome with nostalgia.
